Diversity & Inclusion

Victim Services’ Diversity Program is committed to creating an inclusive environment that respects and values the diverse backgrounds of all individuals. Through targeted outreach and tailored support services, the program ensures that victims from underrepresented and marginalized communities receive equitable access to resources and assistance. The program actively works to dismantle systemic barriers, promote cultural competence among staff, and engage in continuous learning and adaptation to meet the evolving needs of diverse populations. By prioritizing diversity and inclusion, Victim Services aims to create a supportive and empowering space for all victims, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status

Intervention K9

Victim Services’ Intervention K9 program leverages the therapeutic power of trained service dogs to support victims of crime and trauma. Haven, a specially trained canine, provides comfort, emotional support, and a sense of safety to individuals during highly stressful situations. By offering a calming presence, Haven helps reduce anxiety, build trust, and facilitate communication between victims and support personnel. This approach not only enhances the emotional well-being of victims but provides holistic and empathetic care.
